Inspired by the vibrant colour palette of India while also being passionate about restoring their Victorian home to its original splendour, our clients were looking for a bedroom design that felt warm and exotic while staying rooted in it’s Victorian backdrop.
The scheme, which was designed in collaboration with Sophie Robinson for channel 5’s Dream Home Makeovers, nods to the palaces of India, and to celebrate the Victorian proportions, we had a dramatic bed canopy made that reaches up towards the high ceiling adding drama and warmth simultaneously.
Building the colour palette from our hero fabric on the headboard lead us to use a beautifully worm soft pinky orange on the walls. We picked out architectural details in a gentle powder blue and showed off the clients extensive book collection on bespoke designed deep blue bookcases.
Mixing different patterns keeps the look feeling layered, exotic and rich and elevates this bedroom to boutique hotel status.
